VICTORIAN AFTERNOON TEA PARTY

Saturday 19th March 2022, Rolleston Church, 3pm - 5pm

CELEBRATION THE BIRTHDAY OF KATE GREENAWAY

(17TH MARCH 1846 )

An amazing afternoon was had by all, with over 120 visitors coming to the Church to enjoy an afternoon tea provided by the Kate Greenaway Action Group.

There was a fantastic display about Kate Greenaway and her association with Rolleston that everyone found really informative and the Kate Greenaway Singers entertained with songs from Kate's era.

Money raised will go to provide more artwork around the village.

Plans are to hold a similar event next year

FIRST PLANTING IN KATE GREENAWAY GARDEN

A huge thank you to Claire for filling and planting up the new planters which are in situ, next to the new seat in the Kate Greenaway Garden. It was very kind of her to donate the compost and plants and we look forward to seeing the flowers when the time comes to plant them.
Also a bit thanks to the other members who helped on one of the coldest days of the year.
